Power Outage Affects 95 Customers in Moorhead

 

Moorhead Public Service’s (MPS’) crews worked to restore power to 95 customers earlier today. At approximately 11:05 am, MPS’ Dispatch Center was notified of an outage in north Moorhead. The outage was in the neighborhoods just north and just south of 15th Avenue North from 10½ Street North to the Red River.

 

MPS’ crews were immediately dispatched to the affected area. The power was restored by 12:15 pm. The outage was caused by a mechanical failure on a transformer located on 10½ Street North.

 

MPS is a community-owned utility serving the residents of Moorhead, Minnesota, with electricity and water.
